Get to know Ambitious All-Star, Chris Speron

1. Why do you workout?

I love to challenge myself and to push myself to try new things.  I love working hard and I love the feeling after a great workout.  (oh, and it helps keep me healthy!).

2. What made you seek out and join a training program rather than just joining a traditional gym?

I wanted to join a community -- working out alone or with a personal trainer gets dull -- I found myself being complacent when I was working out alone --- having a community of dedicated everyday athletes makes it fun and exciting to show up at the gym every day.  (and I like it when folks laugh with me when I try and say something funny!)

3. What do you view as your most significant health and fitness accomplishment(s) since training at Ambitious Athletics? How did you get there?

My most significant health and fitness accomplishment is getting stronger with each week.  I felt out of shape when I joined Ambitious Athletics, but by keeping at it, I saw progress right away and by staying focused, I feel confident that I am the strongest I have ever been (and actually getting out of bed and making it to the gym for the 6am class several days a week!).

4. In 5 words or less, describe Ambitious Athletics to an outsider.

Inspiring. Challenging. Fun. Competitive. Supportive.

5. If you could share some words of wisdom to a new member at Ambitious, what would you tell them?

Take each workout as it comes, and trust the process.  It takes a while to feel comfortable with all of the new things you need to learn, but if you are open and willing to learn (and are cool with making mistakes along the way) you will see great progress and have some fun along the way.
