“Doing endless cardio and a few arm exercises could never have produced the results that (assisted) pull ups, chin ups, push ups, and all of the rows have done for my back. That strength feels great, but I learned a lot about the importance of core stability and being patient through this process. Don't ever feel defeated when doing something modified. If you work, it will come.”
Working out keeps me grounded and in a routine. It's a great way for me to relieve stress and stay humble through the struggle. There is no perfect lifter out there, you can always be improving technique-wise or strength-wise. It also allows me to be more lenient with what I eat (huge cookie and donut fan).
I was intimidated when I first started to workout at Ambitious Athletics. I had never lifted weights like that before, and I was already “not in my 30’s” anymore. I didn’t think I would ever be strong enough or see any sort of progress. I was so wrong! I did get stronger, and I’ve improved in so many ways even beyond the gym. Just try it, and you might be surprised of what you can learn about yourself!
As our children grow, so should our role as a parent and health role model, educating our child about healthy foods and better choices. Getting them involved in the grocery shopping and food prep is crucial for helping them understand what we like, eat, and why.
We’re always looking for good coaches to join our staff.
