Ambitious Athletics is looking for a full-time Head Coach & Studio Operations Lead to join our mission-driven, athletic-at-any-age team.

This role is for a high-level coach who wants more than just coaching hours. You’ll help lead the daily coaching environment, own programming execution, and support studio operations so clients experience consistent, professional coaching every time they walk through the door.

What You’ll Do

As our Head Coach & Studio Operations Lead, you’ll play a critical role in elevating the client experience while helping run the daily coaching environment.

Coaching & Programming Leadership

  • Deliver high-quality personal and group training sessions

  • Own or co-lead programming execution and progressions

  • Ensure training intent, progression quality, and coaching standards remain consistent

  • Maintain structure across weekly training cycles

Client Communication & Success

  • Support onboarding and early member integration

  • Track client progress and accountability

  • Complete check-ins and help drive long-term retention

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with members

Studio Operations & Environment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, high-functioning training space

  • Own day-to-day floor readiness and coaching flow

  • Support opening/closing procedures and studio systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and client experience

Leadership & Culture

  • Set the tone for professionalism, preparedness, and positive floor energy

  • Lead by example and reinforce coaching standards across the team

  • Participate in team development, meetings, and continuing education

  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance coaching environment

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of coaching experience in personal and/or group settings

  • National certification (NSCA, NASM, ACSM, ACE, etc.)

  • Strong programming understanding and coaching presence

  • High-level communication and leadership skills

  • Operational maturity and ownership mindset

  • Current CPR/AED certification

Bonus: Experience in collegiate strength & conditioning, sport performance, rehab-informed coaching, or proficiency with Teambuildr (or similar training platforms).

Schedule Expectations

  • Coaching schedule runs Monday through Saturday

  • This is a full-time, in-person role with daily responsibilities across group and personal training

  • Schedule may include a mix of morning and evening coaching hours typical of a performance training environment

  • The studio is closed on Sundays

Compensation & Benefits

  • $50,000 annual salary, paid monthly

  • Personal training paid in addition to base salary at the same base rate

  • Health insurance stipend: 50% monthly reimbursement (up to $250/month) for approved plans

  • 10 days paid time off plus scheduled studio closures and major holidays, including annual winter closure (Dec 23 – Jan 1)

  • Continuing education reimbursement: 50% of approved courses, up to $1,000 per year

  • Biannual performance reviews supporting growth and professional development
