June ‘26 + Will & Devan
Hey, Ambitious Athletics Family!
We’re back with another monthly newsletter! By now, you’ve had a chance to settle into your routine, and this is the perfect time to keep that momentum going without overcomplicating things. Just focus on showing up, staying consistent, and doing the small things well. The progress you’re looking for comes from stacking those days over time, and this month is a great opportunity to keep that going. Let’s dive in!
☀️ Monthly Wellness Tip: Take It Outside
With the weather getting nicer, it’s a great time to add in more outdoor movement. Walks, light jogs, or even just getting some fresh air on rest days can boost your mood, increase daily activity, and help you feel more energized overall. Be on the lookout for the sunshine state of mind summer drop coming soon!
📝 Monthly Challenge: Summer Bingo
Our summer bingo is back! In the gym, you will see the printed-out bingo cards. Take one home with you or take a picture and print it at home to track your bingo’s throughout the month. Once you get a bingo (either horizontally, diagonally, or vertically), write your name on the board with the number of bingos you have. Each bingo you get throughout the summer will be the number of names you get in a raffle for a prize at the end of the summer. If you get backout bingo, you automatically get a prize! This challenge will run from June 1st to August 31st.

From a coaching prospective, this was such a fun one to watch - the white board messages, text groups, strategy, and participation even if your group was on its own journey, we loved seeing you all work together and putting in the extra work.
Ben Lee, Joey Zarella, Kailey Adametz, Anne Quinn, Nikki Clements, and Lucy Dana - All earned another gold star in the last 2 months!

What does your daily training mean to you?
Devan- It gives me the structure that I truly needed when trying to invest in my health. 2025 was a year that felt more out of balance between my professional life and my well-being than I care to admit, so morning training has become my way of taking a little bit of the day back for myself. Even on mornings when 5:15 AM comes earlier than I’d like — especially when it feels like there’s “so much to do” — I’ve found it’s always worth it once I’m there. The community and the people make it fun, even if that sometimes means having a few days with increased sleep debt.
Will- I really like a set daily routine so working out every day is always a great way to either start my day off the right way or end on a high note.
2. How do you balance training, nutrition, and recovery?
Devan- I’d say I’m still figuring that out. I’m new to strength training and the gym environment, so I’m learning as I go. Having access to the recovery room feels like a luxury to me, and I’ve been trying to incorporate at least once a week. Mornings can feel tight on time, but my goal is to schedule a recovery session or two towards the end of the week to help my body reset after a few days of training and to go into the weekend a little more refreshed.
Will- I think I balance all three pretty well by trying to stay consistent but never perfect and giving myself some slack when I need it.
3. Tell us about an adventure you were on where you thought, “man, I’m happy my body performs like this.”
Devan- Since joining in January 2026, I haven’t quite had that moment yet. I am playing in a work soccer tournament in Prague at the end of May, so here's to hoping the last few months of training will make a difference! That said, if you see me on the treadmill before or after class when I get back...you’ll probably know I still have some work to do.
Will- I climbed the Manitou Incline in Colorado a few years ago with my brother and dad and was very happy to be the first one to the top.
4. What’s the one metric you keep an eye on that tells you if you’re slacking or not? (Think a particular lift, exercise, run, medical data, vo2, body fat).
Devan- Honestly, it’s the red and green dots on the calendar in the Training app. I’m still learning a lot, from the exercises themselves to proper form to understanding my own progress, so I don’t have a specific lift or metric I track yet. When I signed up, I told myself I wanted to maximize my membership. It was new, I was nervous, but really wanted to go through this program and prove to myself I could do it. For now, the number of days I can show up is the metric that matters most to me.
Will- I don't live or die by the scale or inBody but I find them useful to keep an eye on long term trends and performance.
Thank you for being part of the Ambitious community! We’re here to help you achieve your fitness goals, whether that's lifting heavier, running longer, or feeling your best every day.
